NOTE, they are all 32 Bit and will NOT run on 64 Bit computers. Some are noted as Windows ME and some possibly will run on Windows XP. A port for the Macintosh was released in 1996, with the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions following in 199697, and the Nintendo 64 version arriving on June 29, 1999. This version is no longer being developed and the code is being shared so others can learn from it. NOTE: The source code shared here is from the earlier demo version of the project. Downloads and installs Command & Conquer on modern systems like Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. This game works best on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. All images and sounds used are from C&C - Tiberian Dawn and are property of the original game creators. This project is only intended as a technical proof of concept to demonstrate the basic working elements of an RTS game in HTML5. Now, with a playable alpha version already available, the end goal is reaching feature parity with the original vanilla Red Alert 2 engine.
This is a recreation of the original Command and Conquer, Real Time Strategy game entirely in HTML5 and Javascript. The project initially started out as an experiment and was meant to prove that it was possible to have a fully working, cross-platform RTS game running on a web browser.
